The Road & the Radio is a different kind of radio station, but we didn’t just show up last week. The creators the Road & the Radio station are veteran broadcasters, having worked on air and in programming at major market radio stations from Toronto to Nashville to LA. We recently completed a successful 17-year run with a weekly two-hour syndicated Trucker Radio Show, heard on stations throughout the nation . Now we are taking that experience by launching an online radio station that mixes core 80’s and 90’s country music with some of the biggest hits from the 70’s and, on the end end, from the early 2000’s, before country music went off the rails, with bro-country, hick-hop and cheesy boyfriend country. Don’t get us wrong, we like to rock the country once in a while.  That about the music. But wait…there’s more. If you call now…(oh wait. wrong pitch)

We have a second target audience…the same ones who enjoy the best country music, but also some humor. During the day, listen for true but often hilarious road stories on our Dufus Driver feature from Tim Denis.  Also, twice a day Stan Campbell has a brain testing country quiz for you with his Star Story feature.  Hey, we can get serious too. We have conversations with interesting people in our TNT Podcast, including those brave people who fight human trafficking and occasionally a heart-rending interview with a survivor of sex-trafficking. It’s a passion of ours.  There is more to come, including interviews we have done with some of the greats of country music including George Jones. Merle Haggard, Charley Pride and Charlie Daniels and more.
